My Observation / Reflection

This has truly been a fantastic and transformative opportunity to curate a diverse collection for young adults under the guidance of our professor. Throughout this class, I have explored works by various authors and delved into topics I may not have otherwise encountered, making this project enriching and eye-opening.

While curating the collection, my educational background and working experiences as a teacher allows me to look at young adults’ literacy level and evaluate author’s writing skills. This understanding has played a crucial role in presenting a final collection that showcases a high level of literacy merit while remaining accessible to young adults.

On the other hand, I also became aware of my weaknesses. My lack of formal training in music and art has sometimes limited my ability to provide in-depth evaluations of music albums, movies, and games regarding the quality of media. However, I have consciously tried to learn and improve in these areas to become a more well-rounded curator.

Overall, this experience has been a journey of self-discovery. It has broadened my horizons and inspired me to continue exploring diverse literature and media in the future.
